Missions

Local

Burkburnett is our home, and we strive to show our community the love of Christ in practical ways. First Burk participates in and organizes many local missions projects, which are organized in a variety of ways––through Life Groups, ministry groups, or as a church-wide effort.

One important local ministry is Grace Ministries. Grace Ministries exists to help those in need with food and financial assistance. Our church is a regular contributor to this effort through food drives, our monthly "Bucket Day" collection in our morning worship services, and volunteers. If you would like to make a donation of money or food to Grace Ministries, call 940-569-3388.

Other local ministries we support include Faith Mission, Faith Refuge, Children’s Home, and Camp Chaparral.

State

First Burk also participates in a variety of mission causes at the state level. We have some who volunteer to serve on Baptist-sponsored disaster relief teams that respond to natural disasters such as hurricanes and floods. Through the SBTC, we support various emphases and ministries throughout Texas. If you would like more information about state missions, call the church office at 940-569-1434.

National And International

We have recently established a parternship with Iglesia Baptista Esperenza Eterna in Puerto Rico with Pastor Oscar Ortiz. We are excited to parter together through trips and investment for Kingdom growth.

First Burk also participates in mission causes in North America through special projects, trips, and the annual Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions.

Each year we collect a special offering to support international missionaries through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.
