Student Ministry
First Burk Student Ministry (FBSM) exists to help students take their next steps in a mature faith relationship with Jesus and to become mature adults. We understand that each student is in a different place in life, so not everyone's steps will look the same. We help students discover their steps through a focus on Scripture, worship, service, mission, fellowship, fun, and the investment of significant adults in their lives. We are here to help students and their families discover that life offers so much more when it is centered in Jesus.
Sunday Life Groups
Life Groups are where we study the Bible on a deeper level and help students apply it to their lives. Sometimes we'll have donuts, cereal, or muffins for a quick bite to eat before worship.
Midweek
We meet at 6:00 PM every Wednesday upstairs in our Fellowship Center. Join us for a time of community, fun, and discovery of Jesus through Scripture, worship, and small groups.
Annual Events
Camp features excellent speakers, worship leaders, and recreation. Students will have a powerful week of worship, fun, and connection. This event is open to all students who have completed 6th grade through 12th grade.
DNOW (Disciple Now) is a spring weekend event. We bring in a speaker and worship band to lead us for our worship times, and the weekend is full of fun events and staying at host homes.
Each year we take a mission trip to serve, share our faith, and grow in our faith. We have been to Mission Arlington in Texas several times, New Orleans, and Kansas City.
